Home owners, including those owners with let property insurance, will have been feeling slightly more relaxed with the mild weather we have been getting recently.

temperatures have been at record highs during October and November but unfortunately as we lead towards christmas things are changing.

For the past couple of days high winds and wintry showers have been battering most of the country and snow has also been falling in parts of Scotland and the North of England.

Property owners have been warned to take extra care during the disruptive weather. The wind has been so strong recently owners have had their chimneys blown over, roof tiles blown away and even tree branches have fallen on top of roofs.

Obviously if you have already been affected it will be too late to get cover if you haven’t got any, but landlords must be vigilant before it is too late.

Always make sure everything is secure on your property, chimneys, tiles and anything that is exposed.

Insurance is obviously an important thing to have, landlords can be covered with landlord insurance. Make sure you’re protected for all eventualities.
